The Ram extruder is designed to extrude thick mixes of clay and ceramic material. These extruders are not limited to the use of clay, they are food-safe allowing you to print paste-like materials like frosting or chocolate.

A large closed-loop hybrid stepper motor drives our 2000ml, 3600ml, and 4000ml extruder. This motor is also capable of extruding thicker clay or paste at a much higher rate. Compared to the stepper motor used on the 1000ml extruder.

We do not provide a control device for the motor on this extruder. Please consult the wiring diagram above to connect this motor to your printer or driver.
Please note, the 4000ml tube when fully loaded (with clay) is 30lbs. We do not recommend the use of this product on the Scara V4. We recommend using the 10 XL. It is the only printer that can handle this weight reliably.
