3D Potter is in the process of upgrading our version 7 to version 9. Version 9 is a fully wireless design and does not use a touch screen. It uses the same WiFi interface as the Scara V3. There is a limited stock remaining of version 7. The only change is the user interface for controlling the printer. The 3D Potterbot 9 PRO is the upgraded version of the Potterbot 9. The overall size is the same, but the similarities end there. The 9 PRO utilizes a larger hybrid closed loop stepper motor on the extruder and on the Z axis for better strength and accuracy.
3D Potterbot 9 Pro
The 9 Pro is a major upgrade to our printer designs. The hybrid closed loop stepper motors are a huge improvement on performance over the basic stepper motors. Having them on the extruder and Z-axis allows for denser mixes, allowing you to push the machine to its limits. The motors have their own internal torque settings, so if there is a blockage, they will shut themselves off automatically.
All 3D Potter printers use anodized aluminium rails from IGUS. These rails are robust and have a smooth surface, allowing for easy movement of parts while being able to withstand classroom or industrial environments.
All of our printers use direct extrusion. This is a unique feature to our printers over our competitors. Other printers use a compressed air system using slip (watered down clay). With 3D potters direct extrusion system, you can extrude full body clay, as well as other paste like materials. All materials used to build our printers are food grade safe, so you can get creative and use other materials of similar viscosity with our printers.
3D Potter is currently in its 9th generation of printer design. The 9th generation brings a new wireless design with a full web interface controlled over WiFi. You can now control and upload files to the printer from multiple devices simultaneously. The interface allows you full control over every setting on the machine. Interface preview.
The 9th gen has a new uniform nozzle design for improved performance, across all of our printers. This allows you to interchange nozzles between all of our printers, from the Micro to the Scara V3.
