Don’t fall for scams or faulty designs. There are many copy-cats and inferior 3D clay printers that are nowhere near the quality of our printers.
There are many kick starter and go-fund-me pages on 3D clay printers for absurdly low prices. You can not get a 3D clay printer for $200. They do not exist. If one of these campaigns actually did honor their supporters and sent them something for $200, it would not be a 3D clay printer. It would be a children’s toy that is most likely made entirely of plastic 3D printed parts.
3D Potter’s printers are made from a full machined aluminum body, and can be used in the classroom or more harsh environments.
All of our printers are machined, built, and shipped from Florida, USA.
Other designs are problematic.
Competitors use hard to clean and complicated compressed air systems. They also use slip (watered down clay), which can not achieve any printing height. Some manufactures even recommend adding alcohol to the mix as their printers can not extrude the clay or slip at all. These systems can not achieve the accuracy, nor the high quality prints that our printers can produce.
